The Western States Dorper Association is excited to offer two great opportunities for youth and participants culminating at this year’s Western States Dorper Association Show May 29th & 30th 2026!

Photo Contest for ALL – Capture your favorite moments, and experiences that showcase the spirit of the Dorper breed and community. Whether it’s in the ring, behind the scenes, or out in the pasture, we want to see your best shots!

Youth Essay Contest – This is your chance to share your story, your passion, and your voice!

Youth participants are invited to write on one of the following themes:

• Why Dorper Sheep Are Important to the Future of Agriculture?

• My Experience Raising or Working with Dorper Sheep.

• How Youth Can Shape the Future of the Dorper Sheep Industry?

This is more than a contest—it’s an opportunity to be heard, inspire others, and highlight the important role young people play in shaping the future of the Dorper breed and agriculture.

Both contests are a fantastic way to get involved, express your creativity, and be recognized for your talents. Be sure to check out the attached flyers for full details, rules, and deadlines.
